Description
A very well known and established consulting firm is seeking a SharePoint Portal Designer for a 6-month contract position located in Palo Alto. This is phenomenal organization that helps medium to large organizations architect, implement, and support their local area, wide area and enterprise networks with products that arent even released out to the general marketplace.

Candidates will need to provide screen captures of solutions created for clients and descriptions of what customization was needed.

Required Skills and Experience:
Strong organizational and time management skills
Professional communication (verbal and written) skills
Experience designing and tuning SharePoint 2007 sites to meet clients needs
Experience creating wire frame diagrams of proposed sites and pages
Thorough understanding of SharePoint navigation options (global, local, breadcrumbs, tree view)
Thorough understanding of the out-of-the-box web parts provided in SharePoint Server 2007 and pros and cons of different web parts (such as Content Query Web Part)
Thorough understanding of SharePoint Master Pages, Page Layouts and CSS files
Experience with creating content types and site columns
Experience with using the SharePoint 2007 content deployment features
Experience with SharePoint Designer 2007 for master page customization, style sheet modification, data view configuration etc.
Experience migrating content from one SharePoint tier or site collection to another
HTML & Client side scripting (Javascript, AJAX, DHTML, XSL, XSLT, XHTML, CAML)
Thorough knowledge of Web 2.0 features of SharePoint: Blogs, Wikis, Social Networking (Profiles & My Sites)
Experience with Office 2003 and Office 2007 applications integrating with SharePoint 2007 for standard functionality

Desired Skills:
Experience creating SharePoint 2007 web parts
Experience with InfoPath 2007 in creating forms
Experience with third party SharePoint 2007 add-on products
SQL Server 2005 reporting services experience
Experience with Visual Studio to create solutions and features
Experience creating SharePoint DashBoards utilizing KPIs, Excel Services and the BDC
