Description
Manager, IT Management /Team Lead position to administer and manage the Collaboration services team and application environments. Responsibilities are to provide advanced-level design work, implementation, documentation, and troubleshooting for various SharePoint Portal systems. In addition manage the overall health of the collaboration environment inclusive of interfaces to associated interconnecting systems and custom configurations. Provides application support to developers, end users and support / operational personnel. Performs review of / recommends technology products and configurations to enhance the design and interoperability of sites. Should be familiar with storage systems including SAN and NAS, experience with Internet/intranet networking technologies, and Microsoft Office, Active Directory, Exchange & .Net suite of applications.

Responsibilities:
Local & Wide Area SharePoint Support - Provides 3rd level escalation for SharePoint Services outages and troubleshooting. Performs hardware and software maintenance. Configures and installs SharePoint related servers. Works with Corporation to install SharePoint Services and troubleshoot performance issues. Produces and interprets SharePoint performance trends. Performs SharePoint sites capacity planning and alerting.
SharePoint Design - Consults with colleagues within business divisions to identify SharePoint requirements. Prepares and updates SharePoint Services documentation. Designs and configures SharePoint Services implementation. Assesses new and relevant SharePoint Services technologies.

Design Reviews - Maintains design requirements & documentation with accurate information. Participates as a Subject Matter Expert in architectural and design reviews. Makes recommendations for project changes as needed to improve functionality, performance, enterprise impacts/risks, and standards compliance (i.e. Records Management / SOX.)
Administration - Communicates plans, status and issues to management on a regular basis. Reports activities through time tracking system. Mentors junior SharePoint / Collaboration team engineers. Participates in project and activity tracking processes. Participates in the change control process. Continuously updates and improves skills and networking knowledge through training and self-study.
Production Support - Provides 24x7 on call production support. Serves as an escalation point for SharePoint Services issues within IT.

Departmental Responsibilities - Works closely with business divisions / clients, to coordinate and manage their SharePoint environments. Responsible for managing SharePoint Sites inclusive of sub sites. Works closely with Production support, File server & Database Administrators, Applications Developers, Account and SharePoint Administrators to provide a secure application environment.

Job Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree

Certification/Licenses: MCSE 2003 Preferred

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, Internet/Intranet networking (HTTP, FTP, XML, .Net,) Microsoft Operating Systems, SQL Server Strong knowledge of current IT infrastructure and SharePoint, Messaging and Business Intelligence trends. Good understanding of network security and management frameworks, Microsoft OCS/LCS, Microsoft Exchange, SAN and NAS storage environments.
Skills: Strong project coordination skills. Strong relationship management and negotiation skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Strong ability to interpret impact of technology choices.

Experience: Minimum 7 years in IT technical Services. Minimum 3-5 years Microsoft SharePoint experience. 3 years customer interaction.
