Description
BearingPoint GTS is currently searching for an experienced Shared Services Technical Architect and Strategist.

Preference will be given to candidates local to Detroit, MI or Windsor, Canada (or willing to relocate to Detroit.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and support Shared Services Architecture and Strategies for use within global IT divisions
Conduct and lead technology pilots
Work with vendors to develop global IT solutions
Define, develop and document strategies for global IT infrastructure & shared services. Strategy development comprises:
o IT standards, leverage points, value assessment for the regions, recommendations, adoption by regions, deployment plan, gap and SWOT analysis, business case and perhaps other requirements.
Develop deployment dashboard by regions
Present recommendation to leadership
Support Regional deployments and perform coordination role

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to analyze and learn rapidly changing technologies and apply them as a part of an integrated solution to meet business objectives.
Well-rounded and deep IT technology and process skills in IT infrastructure & Operations
o Shared Services - Collaboration, Identity Mgmt., Directory Services, Portal, Tools-
Messaging (Notes 6.5, Exchange, DR, Anti-Virus, Anti-SPAM)
Collaboration (Quickplace, NetMeeting, Webex -)
Desktop productivity tools: (Statistical Analysis -)
Code management support (Development Studio, ITIL -)
Employee identity management
Customer identity management
o Information Security
Self Starter
Ability to deliver results from idea generation to strategy deployment - blank sheet of paper
Strong technology, communication, and organizational management skills

Education and/or Training:

Bachelor's degree in Compute Science, Engineering or related discipline:
Masters degree is preferable.

Experience:

At least 10 years in Information Technology industry experience
Minimum five (5) years of technical leadership and technology development experience, with demonstrated experience architecting and integrating systems in a multi-user, multiplatform, multitasking operating system environment (i.e., Unix, Windows NT)
Minimum two (2) years in IT Technology strategy & business planning experience including business case development
Minimum two (2) years combined experience in the shared services (directory, identity, collaboration)
Minimum five (5) years experience in the software development process
Demonstrated experience working with outsourced suppliers for application development and hosting.
Financial Services Industry experience preferred.
