Description
This individuals primary task is to translate the needs of a client application, taking into consideration previously deployed solutions to define and/or produce a reusable solution for this client. Communication is key as is the ability to understand and function in a complex systems software environment.
This position requires through knowledge in multiple disciplines:
In a central server environment the position requires familiarity with systems software (i.e., MVS, VTAM, JES 2, CICS, RACF, MQseries and DB2.) in addition to development languages and tools (COBOL, ISPF).
In a mid-range/server environment the position requires familiarity with systems and application software of; Unix and variants thereof, Microsoft OS, Websphere, MQseries and Netware – specifically NDS.
Expertise in OS/390 and OO methodologies and languages is a fundamental requirement.
Behavior Characteristics:
Will manage the migration from SharePoint 2003 to SharePoint 2007. Will install MOSS 2007, plan and execute the migration of existing sites, and implementing required governance. The person will also provide SharePoint support.
