Jawood has a need for a SharePoint Architect for an 8-12 week engagement in Metro Detroit. Candidates must have both good verbal and written skills and must be more of an architect and less of a developer.
Position Duties
Assisting customers/partners with making architectural decisions as they determine how they would design and build their solutions on MS Information Worker and SharePoint
Ability to mentor developers through enterprise custom application developments of the SharePoint Object Model
Create technical documentation of installation/configuration procedures
Building demonstrations of capability and documenting how our customers can create similar solutions
Position Requirements
Knowledge on developing, configuring Web parts for SharePoint
Demonstrate working knowledge of physical and logical server architectures for SharePoint Portal Server
Significant architectural experience using Microsoft .NET, Windows DNA and related technologies
Demonstrate high degree of initiative and self guided work management
Demonstrate strong desire to develop new technical knowledge and professional skills on a continual basis
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey the proper message to both the Business and Technical audiences
Must have practical project experience in development of portal applications
Expert level technical skills with .NET development technologies
Experience with Commerce Server, Content Management Server MS Active
Directory/Exchange, Project Server, and BizTalk a plus
Experience with Project 2002 a plus
Minimum 5+ years of development experience in large scale enterprise application integration
Experience in pre-sales consulting with a successful sales team (preferred but not required)
.MCSD or MCSD for .NET or .MOSS 2007
.Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experience or specialized training) in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering, or related discipline
.May consider reference able projects in lieu of Certifications or Degree
