Sharepoint Consultant

Link Technologies is looking for a Microsoft SharePoint architect to support SharePoint Intranet Portal Implementation Project. The SharePoint architect will assist in the development of an information architecture framework and document library taxonomy standards. In addition, the SharePoint architect will review the client s SharePoint deployment methodology and provide recommendations for improvement based on best practices. The SharePoint architect will also review their security administration model and governance model and provide recommendations for improvement, which may include workflow and automation tools. Once recommendations are made and accepted, the SharePoint architect will assist with the implementation, installation and configuration of defined solutions.

This 4 month project will include 4 day work week, Monday through Thursday full time on client location so no remote workers will be accepted.

Required Experience:

3+ years experience as a SharePoint architect in multiple mid to large scale deployments of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 portal solutions. Experience in information architecture, document library taxonomy, SharePoint security models, and SharePoint governance.

Deliverables:

Information Architecture Plan and Taxonomy Standards, which will contain the following:

• Business context description document: detailing business drivers leading to the recommended taxonomy
• User Context Description Document: describing how users plan on using the system and how this impacted the recommended taxonomy.
• Content Context Description Document: describing high-value SharePoint content items that the City will store and manage.
• SharePoint Deployment Review and Recommendations Document
• SharePoint Security Review and Recommendations Document
• SharePoint Governance Review and Recommendations Document

Project Team Deliverables Briefings: describing all findings and deliverables to project team.
