Client is a leading firm specializing in interest rate and credit risk management. For over 17 years, we have been providing financial modelling, consultation and advice to financial institutions worldwide ranging in size from $600 Million to over $1 Trillion in assets. Clients headquarters is in Chicago and all research and development is performed in-house.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide quick turnaround application development and support for fast evolving SharePoint environment to automate many critical processes.
- As a SharePoint team member you will work on improving and building on top of a growing suite of SharePoint-centric solutions. You will participate in each phase of the software development life cycle, from requirements-gathering through rollout and support.
- Development and support responsibilities also include building applications to streamline and enhance various processes in the areas of client support, software development, marketing and project management. In addition to greater efficiency, the new applications will provide transparency and greater integration.
- Our team uses leading edge Microsoft technologies including betas of next version of SharePoint to develop the most efficient solutions. The development includes creation of custom Web-parts and advanced workflows.

IDEAL CANDIDATE DESCRIPTION
- The ideal candidate will have a broad range of technical skills, superior organizational skills, and expert problem solving skills which will be used to manage the demand of incoming application development requests.
- Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and a can-do attitude in proactively driving development projects forward from beginning to end. A candidate with a broad range of technical skills will be heavily favoured as you will be required to choose the best design to solve an array of business problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for working with other developers, financial analysts, and managers.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
- 2+ years C# programming experience
- 2+ years ASP.NET programming experience; .NET 2.0 experience preferred
- 2+ years experience developing browser based applications
- Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills
- Experience with SharePoint and Lotus Notes and Domino are a plus
- Experience with development of a portal or collaborative applications are a plus

BACKGROUND/TRAINING
- A bachelor's degree is required, ideally in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
- Advanced degrees are a plus.
