Bus Intelligence Developer II, Simi Valley

Business-Intelligence Developer II
Hands-on experience developing Subject Areas using Siebel Analytics 7.8.4 and/or Oracle BI Enterprise Edition 10g as well as Universes using Business Objects XI. Strong working knowledge of star schema design, OLAP and ETL with experience working with SQL Server 2005 (Analysis Services, Integration Services and Reporting Services).

Primary Responsibilities Include:
=C2=B7 Analyzing, defining, developing and maintaining Business-Intelligence Applications and Architectures
=C2=B7 Consulting with Management to define data requirements and priorities for Business-Intelligence needs
=C2=B7 Gathering, analyzing and modeling data to develop data filters and indexes
=C2=B7 Ensuring data integrity
=C2=B7 Developing System and Database Designs to optimize Business-Intelligence and decision-making capabilities
=C2=B7 Developing, testing, de-bugging and documenting Business-Intelligence systems
=C2=B7 Coordinating Client and Integration Testing
=C2=B7 Reviewing business requests for data and data usage
=C2=B7 Researching data sources for new and enhanced data feeds
=C2=B7 Creating data-extract packages
=C2=B7 Building User-Interfaces and reports
=C2=B7 Defining and managing metadata to transform into information
=C2=B7 Supporting Business-Intelligence platform tools and OLAP technologies
=C2=B7 Guiding and training end users on the use of Business-Intelligence tools
=C2=B7 Significantly influencing final decisions that have a substantial impact on business-unit and/or companywide Business-Intelligence systems
=C2=B7 Providing analysis, recommendations, consultation and expert advice
=C2=B7 Working with Business Management to identify Business-Intelligence needs and applications
=C2=B7 Reviewing data requests and analyzing business needs to define database designs, system files and data structures for Business-Intelligence tools and applications
=C2=B7 Creating Testing methodologies and criteria
=C2=B7 Designing, developing, testing and documenting Business-Intelligence systems
=C2=B7 Designing OLAP cubes
=C2=B7 Identifying data sources
=C2=B7 Creating data extracts, user interfaces and reports
=C2=B7 Data Profiling
=C2=B7 Data Mining
=C2=B7 Documenting tools and systems
=C2=B7 Assisting users with use of Business-Intelligence tools
=C2=B7 Developing standards, policies and procedures for Business-Intelligence tools and systems
=C2=B7 Defining data- and information-quality metrics
=C2=B7 Researching new technologies and providing Business and IT Management with appropriate recommendations
=C2=B7 Independently or collectively (in conjunction with DBAs) conducting query performance, tuning and optimization
=C2=B7 Leading, mentoring and/or guiding others



A Successful Candidate Will Have:
=C2=B7 Bachelors (or equivalent) degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (and/or equivalent experience)
=C2=B7 5-8 years of Business-Intelligence experience
=C2=B7 Extensive knowledge of Business-Intelligence concepts, practices and procedures
=C2=B7 Advanced knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft-Office products, ER Diagrams, Data Modeling, Process Modeling, RDBMS platforms and Client/Server Systems-Development practices and methodology=E2=80=94including GUI Design, file I/O and analytical tools
=C2=B7 Advanced understanding of Relational-Database principles
=C2=B7 Advanced understanding of multi-dimensional analysis and design, score-carding and dash-boarding
=C2=B7 Strong analytical skills and statistical knowledge
=C2=B7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills



The Ideal Candidate May Also Possess:
=C2=B7 Post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Math or Statisticsdf-tc
