Description
As a Siebel Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and/or participating in all aspects of the design, development, and deployment of the Siebel eMedical 7.5.3 application and related components (e.g., interfaces, conversions, etc). In this role, you will be expected to provide leadership in all technical aspects of a Siebel initiative. This position will require you to leverage your deep technical knowledge and broad Siebel experience. Additionally, this individual must be able to effectively interact with client representatives, project management, and fellow team members (both inside and outside of the immediate team) in the development of solutions that address the people, process, and technology needs of the organization. Also important to your success in this position is the ability to understand business challenges and translate them into process/technical solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Architectural oversight of Siebel systems and responsible for the design, implementation and lifecycle management of technology architectures of the Siebel eMedical 7.5.3 application

Establishing and maintaining application/information practices and standards that support Siebel.

Maintain expertise in the area of architecture, including industry trends, strategies, and products to ensure that assets are effectively and efficiently utilized.

Provide technical expertise to peers and associates on the overall infrastructure architecture.

Sizing Analysis and trends of the usage of the Siebel application.

Monitoring processes and procedures of the Siebel application.


Some of the activities that you may be a part of include:

Process definition and design

Requirements definition, mapping, and gap analysis

Siebel application design and prototyping

Definition of the overall Siebel architecture (e.g., interaction with the Siebel application, interfaces, converted data, reporting, etc.)

Establishing and managing Siebel development standards and best practices

Test scenario definition, script development, and execution

Application deployment planning and execution


REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years experience.

Full lifecycle software development (7 yrs)

J2EE web applications development (7 yrs

Analytical skills to transform general functional/business requirements into coded solutions

Experience in dealing with Siebel Support and Expert services.

Strong knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server database Administration. should be able to identify SQL Server database specific issues related to Siebel processes and work with DBA group in resolving those issues.

Siebel Server and Remote back-end experience including Siebel on the server side and Microsoft SQL Server and Windows.

Detailed understanding of Siebel 7.5 Remote and Server architecture, performance characteristics and underlying table structures.

Hands on experience in Siebel server installation, Upgrades, Repository Migration (DevToProd), creating and distributing Siebel Anywhere Kits to the clients, Identifying and troubleshooting specific performance issues.

Detailed understanding of Siebel architecture on Microsoft platform including OM configuration, SWE, Server components, Resonate.
