Required skills/competencies:

- Testing development life cycle
- Work with developers and analyst to translate business requirements and functional specifications into test plans and test scripts.
- Develop test plans, test scripts, and conditions to match business requirements.
- Execute test scripts, strong manual testing of system functionality, to ensure proper operation and identify and document gaps in the quality of the system.
- Debug and troubleshoot system functionality issues
- Use defined tools, Quality Center, to report and track issues identified to resolution.
- Becoming a valuable contributor on the quality assurance team
- Provide written and verbal communication such as status reports, progress reports and documentation to team leads
Preferred Skills: - 2 years experience testing applications using manual methodologies
- Experience in all phases of application development life cycle, specifically Quality Assurance Testing Skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to partner with business and IT development teams.
- Understand fundamentals of Client Server applications and database technologies.
- Ability to clearly understand and interpret business requirements and functional specifications and translate into test cases.
- Be able to multi-task with excellent time management skills and willing to work in a challenging and fast paced environment.

Preferred Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in area of Computer Science (or Computer Information Systems) preferred.
