Description
Quebecor World is one of the world's largest printers with a comprehensive range of services and a technically advanced manufacturing platform in North America and Latin America. Quebecor World Publishing Services Group is currently seeking a full time Site Administrator.
The Site Administrator ensures proper functioning of the client environment by providing technical support, tracking problems to identify trends, ensuring client software/hardware readiness and compliance with approved standards. This position is also responsible for providing support for all servers in all departments at their sites. Including insuring backups are scheduled and complete, patches are up-to-date, anti-virus utility is running and up-to-date, replication is occurring in domain controllers, and monitoring capacity trending.
-Assists employees who are experiencing technical difficulties with the use of their client hardware and software applications
-Supports all site server needs including backups, patching, anti-virus, and capacity planning.
-Provide technical expertise to resolve site server problems.
-Responds to tier 2 problem calls escalated from Help Desk
-Provides expert Citrix technical support and point-of-need training to users
-Tracks thin client problems to determine trends
-Researches and installs specialized client hardware components, software, and upgrades.
-Ensures all client systems are loaded with the correct version of software
-Tests and certifies client before it is released to the user community
-Maintains client hardware and os configurations
-Configures and supports Laptops
-Configures and supports Macs
-Contacts the appropriate vendor(s) for equipment maintenance and repairs
-Reports to the asset controller any hardware/software deletions to the PC environment
-Setup and manage asset management utility for non-thin client systems
-Ensures users comply with approved hardware/software standards and forwards deviations to appropriate management
-Provides 24x7 coverage for problem resolution as required
Requirements:
Requirements:
2 years experience supporting a large PC user community. Strong knowledge of Windows 2000, and XP operating systems and associated tools and utilities. Working knowledge TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, MS Office, WRQ Reflection, Citrix, VPN client, and Oracle client. MCSE and/or A+ certifications and Bachelors degree preferred.
