Position Description
This position is for the Skyhook program as the Avionics IPT (Integrated Product Team) lead. Leads the subcontracting, design, development and qualification of Avionics (Navigation, Communication, Crew Displays/Interactive Systems) hardware/software. Performs trade studies to optimize configuration. Participates in requirements flow down and decomposition. Participates in the Certification planning and execution of the Avionics systems. Develops and manages avionics systems specifications. Selects and manages suppliers including proposals analysis, requirements generation, and performance tracking. Develops schedules consistent with program schedules. Implement plans and status to ensure compliance to program tracking Metrics. Develops engineering drawings with negotiated datasets for Manufacturing Requirements associated with the Avionics Systems. Develops and manages drawing/document trees, integration plans, and required risk reduction and component qualification tests. Performs functional testing and support aircraft level test efforts for all Avionics systems. Manages part shortages

Education and/or Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
