Description
Our client, a leading developer of security products for the Mobile software applications market, is seeking several Smartphone Software Engineers for its Development team.

Scope of Role
This position will be responsible for full lifecycle development of software
for the Mobile Applications group

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
Required:

- 7+ years of experience in full product lifecycle software design and implementation.

- 2+ years development experience on one or more of the following: Windows Mobile, Windows CE, Symbian (UIQ or Series 60), RIM/Blackberry , PalmOS, Android, Brew, SCADA systems, and any embedded Linux.

- Familiar with one or more of the built-in security features of mobile OSs, such as encryption, code signing, password control, and enterprise management.

- Experience building solutions in the mobile environment, and prepared to deal with the normal issues like over-the-air deployment, limited system resources, network latency, and power consumption.

- Excellent software engineering/programming skills with one or more of: C, C++, C#, Java

- Ability to create high-level software architecture and design documents.

- Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast paced environment as a member of a senior development team.
Highly desired:

- Familiar with web technologies and frameworks such as .NET compact framework and/or SOAP and XML.

- Familiar with PKI and cryptography concepts.

- Involved in app certification thru one or more of Symbian Signed, MS Mobile2Market (M2M), or Java Verified,k and/or other testing lab process.

- Experience with voice over IP, VoIP, SIP, RTSP/RTP and other streaming protocols.

- Experience writing device drivers, low-level APIs, or software development kits.

- Strong user interface design skills.

- Knowledge of networking in general and software behavior in a mobile networked environment.

- Familiar with mobile operator network technologies including GPRS, EDGE, CSD, EVDO, UMTS, HSDPA, etc.

- Experience working on a widely-deployed commercial software product, and familiar with the associated issues like patch management, platform diversity, application hardening and licensing.

- BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced small team environment.
