We have an opportunity for you to join us as a Senior Analyst of Voice and Data Services. In this position, you will be a part of a team to help select a new VoIP telecom system for G&K! Following the selection, you will implement and then upgrade, support and enhance the system.

In order to be successful, you will:
  • Initiate ideas and create proposals to improve telecommunications efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Gather user requirements, conduct research and meet with telecommunication vendors to analyze data and options, and develop cost/benefit justification.
  • Work with locations, including acquisitions, to assess their needs for lines, equipment and services.
  • Develop project schedules and task lists to coordinate cabling and installation of new phone lines and equipment.
  • Maintain several databases/records and develop reports to assess needs, determine usage levels, spot cost trends, etc., and create unique reports at management request.
  • Provide answers and solutions to user questions/problems regarding telephone-related hardware and software. Primary Corporate contact: Identifies issues, gathers and analyzes data, negotiates with vendors, makes recommendations and follows up to ensure resolution.
  • Develop and implement guidelines and makes policy recommendations related to phone and voicemail systems. Work with all organizational levels to implement and interpret policies.

    Requirements for this position include:
  • A college degree in technical communications field, OR technical certification and 3-5 years technical experience in the telecommunications field.
  • 5-8 years increasingly responsible experience in telecommunications, including 2 years managing phone systems and voice mail
  • Experience must include evidence of effective vendor management, product selection, and contract negotiation and compliance management.
  • Experience implementing a new VoIP system including Avaya, Nortel, Cisco or Mitel
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Proven ability to develop effective working relationships at all organizational levelsdf-tc
