Overview

Experienced software engineer to develop new features for our client. Projects include new functionality products aimed at improving the workflow of the investment management professional.



Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities
. Translate market/customer requirements into detailed technical specifications with iterative implementation plans.
. Work as part of a larger development team focused on driving innovation across the whole research application space.
. Write top-notch C# code in a multi-tiered multi-threaded .NET environment.
. Drive quality throughout the SDLC - including code review, automated unit and integration testing, continuous integration, performance monitoring.
. Work collaboratively with QA on the development and review of test plans / test strategy.
. Work collaborative with usability/user-experience group to insure high usability of applications.
. Work collaboratively with project management on project planning, task estimation and resource allocation.
. Work closely with other teams to understand system interdependencies, and provide guidance in complex initiatives.
. Work closely with segment/product management to understand customer needs.

. Minimum 5 years hands-on experience developing reliable scalable internet facing 24x7/high-volume applications.
. Detailed understanding of system analysis, performance tuning, scalability, security and reliability.
. Extensive experience with browser-based applications and WebServices APIs.
. Hands on experience with .NET 2.0, C#, SQL Server, SOAP, WebServices/WSDL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
. Experience with NET 3.0, AJAX, DHTML, SOA, data modeling, localization desirable.
. Excellent analytical problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

. BS in a computer science, MIS or a related degree preferred
