Responsibilities

Join CLIENT's growing software engineering and video platform team. The CLIENT video platform supports video delivery, ad presentation, telemetry, visual customization, and provides a pluggable architecture by which sites can customize the functionality. In this position, you will be responsible of leveraging technical expertise on small to large-scale projects as well as working with CLIENT Internet properties using the video platform. In addition to custom development of platform features, there will be a need to integrate with other 3rd party services and frameworks. You will share insights and methods through recommendations to managers, the development team, and client sites. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Work as lead developer along with internal/external development teams to deliver designs, code, unit tests, documentation, and features to QA.
Deliver to current business needs while architect towards a long-term vision of the platform.
Keep management informed, handle deadline pressures, and effectively escalate project issues.
Support multiple groups of users: viewers watching the player, developers customizing the player platform for their sites, and ad operations attempting to maximize revenue from the video delivery.
Manage workload to pro actively identify and resolve issues that would present a risk to on-time implementation.
Ready to take up challenge to work under pressure and coordinate engagements in a global environment.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics

Technical skills:

Minimum 6 years software development experience
Strong basis in software architecture and optimizing large software systems
ActionScript client-side programming and/or Java server-side programming.
Design for asynchronous interaction.
Comfortable with agile software development and ability to flesh out detailed requirements & design
Video, Flash, and/or content delivery experience.
Enthusiasm for solving problems
Ability to work with and refactor existing code base
