Position Title
: Software Architect


Position Rationale:


The Software Architect will be responsible for contributing to, documenting, managing a technical team and assisting in the re-implementation for Company's CRM and associated applications.


Success will be measured on the ability to successfully deliver a quality product including documentation on time. The smooth execution, problem resolution, and added value to the application development will be key areas of evaluation.


Major Responsibilities:



  • Manages and leads the technical work of a small development group as part of the larger development team.
  • Coordinates and works daily with Principal Architect on the overall design, architecture and development efforts.
  • Works with Principal Architect to develop and maintains standards as part of the development process.
  • Reviews code of other developers to ensure they are compliant with standards.
  • Prototypes and develops code as necessary.
  • Creates documentation as necessary.
  • Helps determine estimates.
  • Ensures test plans are created and maintained.
  • Maintains a good relationship with peers in IT and Company at large.

Oral/Written Communication - Always conducts himself/herself as a polished, creditable company representative in all interactions with others, communications, presentations, reports, etc. while similarly enhancing Company's image as a world class business.


Qualifications: A solid track record of accomplishments in development preferred.


At least 5 years of total development experience.


3 years experience with the following required: Java J2SE, SQL, Object-oriented design, source control, HTML, XML, Ant, UNIX/Linux, Windows


Experience with the following strongly desired: Java J2EE including Generics and Annotations, JBoss App Server, Oracle, Hibernate, Seam, JSF (or JSP), RichFaces ( or other Faces implementation), Mule or other ESB technologies, Web Services (ie Axis, CXF).


Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Ability to work independently on multiple/projects tasks with stringent schedules.


Education Requirement:


Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university preferably in a engineering/technical area.
