Software Configuration Management (SCM) Consultant

This position is for a Software Configuration Management (SCM) resource. This person will be responsible for all SCM related functions for the OWS Program/Projects which includes SCM process definition, release configuration, application migration to various environments, application user ID and password management.

5 years using administration of SCM software and user support 8 years industry experience in application development

Skills Required: 

• Have an in depth understanding of SCM needs and planning for large projects involving multiple technologies.


• Working knowledge of Java/J2EE based applications in windows/Linux based environments, and WebSphere (version: 6.X) environments.


• Be able to build and deploy code and data models for various J2EE applications.


• Working knowledge of PVCS change management software, should be very familiar with the concept of promotion groups and labels.


• Good personality and should be able to perform under pressure and meet the deadlines


• Experience with code and data model deployments in J2EE, Microsoft SQL Server and Teradata environments.


• Have in depth understanding of ftp process (in Unix, windows and Linux).

Skills Preferred: 
Awareness of SOX and its applicability to separation of duties.
