Project Description: Design and develop embedded firmware using the vxWorks Real Time Operating System. Embedded firmware subsystem resides within a larger computer server, running a UNIX or Windows Operating system.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Develop embedded firmware running on the ARM9 processor using vxWorks RTOS. Provide documentation on firmware design and implementation details.* Consults with other engineers on design details and implementation plan.* Conduct design and code reviews on new firmware with other engineers. Minimum Qualifications/Experience:* Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related discipline plus 2 years experience; or Masters degree plus 1 year experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Experience using the full software lifecycle.* Windriver vxWorks Real Time OS experience; Tornado 2.2 toolset experience; Hardware target probe experience* Experience developing software in a UNIX environmentAdditional Experience that would be helpful: System administration experience with HP-UX or NT. Experience with ThreadX Real Time OS. Experience with ARM9 firmware. Required Skills: vxWorks Real Time Operating System, UNIX.Will be paid on W-2 basis only.
