Software Design Engineer 4 - with Proficiency in VB.NET, Web Services or ASP.NET

Your Applicant Development responsibilities will include:

• Design and development of complex applications in Windows environment.
  
• Provide programming of web-based GUIs, statistical reports, database management programs including data conditioning and decision-support systems, desktop database publishing and other database marketing applications.
  
• Possesses an understanding in the areas of application architecture, database and system design.
  
• Develop supporting application and process documentation for client and internal applications conforming to Cohesion's C-FRAME design methodology.
  
• Automate and deploy applications in a production environment
  
• Hands-on experience with the software development life-cycle including requirements gathering, design, development, and deployment.
  
• Documents and analyzes required information and data in order to define the optimum solution.
  
• Prepares requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations
  
• Provide end-user training on application usage.

Your Application Management Responsibilities will include:

• Lead development effort and assist in project management for new development efforts with assigned accounts.
  
• Function as primary technical contact for clients and Cohesion departments for assigned accounts.
  
• Perform necessary analysis, including complete development of functional specifications; provide time/cost quotations on complex application development work
  
• Ensure existing applications consistently perform as specified, within quality standards, within budget and per schedule.
  
• Manage vendors as necessary, develop vendor SLA and measure compliance
  
• Direct assigned technical staff and contractors.
  
• Evaluate staff/contractor performance on a per-project basis.

Your Departmental Responsibilities will include:

• Act as a technical advisor to other to other personnel in the IS Department
  
• Act as an advisor for other department personnel in accomplishing project goals

• Bachelor degree and minimum of 2 years technical programming education and minimum 5 years experience programming utilizing SQL and one or more of the following; VB.NET, Web Services or ASP.NET.
  
• MCSD certification is highly desirable
  
• Experience in Agile/ SCRUM is a large plus.
