Description
Experienced software engineer for the development and support of MS Windows based computer systems that support Safetran products and services, with emphasis on Web-based applications.
Responsible for prototyping, designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting Windows software in a team environment. Participate in the development and refinement of system and software requirements with Safetran personnel. Interface with project technical lead on a daily basis to stay on track with project goals. Apply generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation.

Minimum of 5 years experience in developing complex Windows-based software applications using: C/C++, MFC, VB, COM/Active X, SQL and MS Access or SQL Server. Focus on client-and Server-side Web applications in a Visual Studio 6 environment using Web classes. Knowledge of serial communication, Windows sockets, and Windows CE-based development is desirable. Experience with developing automated repeatable verification and test processes a plus. Experience with communications technologies (RF, wireline) a plus Gathering/documenting system and software requirements for both function and design. Ability to write code and to test and debug efficiently.

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics preferred.
