Design of applications and system level software for systems with embedded microprocessors. Responsible for developing software for products under a disciplined product development process that meets FDA requirements. Working in a team environment to reach common objectives with aggressive schedules. Must efficiently and effectively: ? Designing and implementing programs in C/C++ and assembly language as required. ? Assisting in the preparation of software design requirements and detailed design specifications for implementation of software designs per Client design development process. ? Participating in establishing schedule for product development. ? Assisting in the evaluation of selected designs through testing/analysis and full documentation of the results. ? Working effectively with others to define requirements and resolve issues during product development including microprocessor selection and interface. ? Coordinating and working effectively with other departments to provide software support as needed. Supporting development of the next generation Navigator/Caregiver monitor. Experience and Skills: Low level, HW interface, Kernel software development, device drivers (USB, LCD, SPI, I2C, serial,...), RTOS experience (NUCLUES desired), debuggers, Jtag, ARM9 processor, Motorola/FreeScale iMX family processor, ARM Real View ICE and Trace tools, C and Assembly code, BSP, power management, SW development for Battery operated devices.
