Excellent 2-3 month temporary opening for a software developer in the Westbrook area. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is desired, as is two years of experience as a programmer using Visual Basic and at least one of the following: C++, Csharp or LabView in database environments. Knowledge of procedural and object oriented programming techniques, database management systems, Visual Basic, Oracle Data Structures, Access Databases, computer communication protocols and networking skills are essential, as are demonstrated problem-solving skills. Position will work designing, developing and testing information systems that use Oracle Databases and Visual Basic interfaces, together with electronic methods that compliment the system. Strong electronic and mechanical skills are desired. The opportunity requires high degree of communication and coordination between user, technical, application & IT to result in effective programming.
