We are currently looking for a Software Developer/Analyst that experience in Visual Basic, VBA, Access, SQL Server and Crystal Reports.

Project Overview:
Perform modifications and enhancements to existing applications written in Visual Basic and VBA. These applications &/or forms are distributed throughout our clients organization and are continually updated by the user community. These updates are mandatory in order to maintain various internal and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. The information housed in these forms is ultimately imported into larger SQL Server databases. From there, information/data can be extracted from these SQL Server databases and can be viewed by management through a series of pre-existing Crystal Reports. The end result is that management is in a position to make more intuitive business and organizational decisions.


* Work with end users to understand and define business requirements. Take these requirements and turn them into functional specifications.
* Perform maintenance & enhancements to existing applications using VB & VBA. This may also require new application development from inception to completion depending upon best practices.
* Assist the reporting team in the development of SQL statements that will allow them to develop various reports. This may require development and tuning of SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, etc.
* Based on technical ability, aptitude and business demands, may be asked to modify the functionality of existing reports, or create new Crystal Reports.
* Collaborate with various teams including user community, project management, software development, DBA's, business analysts, SQA and reporting teams to develop project timelines, share thoughts and coordinate efforts to ensure that project deliverables are met in a timely fashion.
* Develop and maintain various documentation for internal and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Experience/Skills
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or MIS
3-5+ years of experience

Required skills:
* Visual Basic v6.0 for client/server application development.
* Access database development including the use of VBA for application development
* SQL Server 7.0/2000 support and development, including the development and use of complex T-SQL query's and statements
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively with various cross-functional groups of professionals and technologists

Desired Skills
* Understanding of Crystal Reports, preferably able to develop reports within the Crystal architecture
* Sarbanes-Oxley experience
* SQL Server DBA & development skills
