Description
Alcon is a $3.0 + billion global company specializing in the discovery, development, manufacture and marketing of ophthalmic surgical and vision care products.

We have an immediate opportunity for a results-oriented BS EE/CS/CE embedded software developer with 10+ years experience in Object Oriented design. Should be fluent in C/C++ and experienced in Real Time Operating System (RTOS) environments and design practices. Use of lab equipment (analyzers, in-circuit emulators, oscilloscopes, and meters) required, with PowerPC and OSE experience a plus. This individual will be responsible for the design, development, integration and testing of computer controlled electromechanical devices.

This is a contract opportunity that has the potential of lasting more than 1 year.

The ideal candidate will possess experience developing software for devices in an FDA-regulated environment and a strong working knowledge of advanced design principles that facilitate maintainability, reuse, and clarity of design. Must be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to meeting schedule and project milestones.
