In this position candidates will be ?


Essential Functions:
Application development through advanced software programming techniques and practices.
Team building and integrated customer support through knowledge based interactions and communications.

Basic Qualifications:
BS Computer Science or equivalent
Strong software development background using languages C, C , Python, and Perl.
Strong software development background on both Windows and UNIX/Linux platforms
Strong grasp of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques

Desired:
Knowledge of Web development techniques
Knowledge of security, backup, and disaster recovery on the Windows platform
Knowledge of TCP/IP, sockets, RPC, IPCs, and threads
Knowledge of any of the following: Fortran, XML, database, and GUI toolkits
Familiarity with CVS or Subversion source code control
Familiarity with data acquisition hardware and software
MS Excel, Power Point, and Word capability
Effective written and verbal communications skills
Strong team and interpersonal skills
Software effort estimating experience
