Our American Dynamics Video Systems in San Diego is an acknowledged global leader in the development of advanced video products for surveillance and information management purposes. Our growing business in digital security solutions has created a need for an extremely talented and enthusiastic Software Development Engineer.

**Recent college grads, who have received programming awards, are also strongly encouraged to apply to this position.**

This is a contract position for a minimum of 6 months, with a strong potential for extension of the contract. Excellent compensation!

Job Responsibilities:
Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications.
Participate in the design and specification process
Develop technical product specifications and documentation
Participate in debug and design reviews, with full understanding of the software development life cycle process

This position is located in San Diego. Only local candidates will be considered. Applicants must be either US citizens or permanent residents of the US who do not require sponsorship.

Requirements:

Qualifications:
2-5 years of software development experience
Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Previous experience developing applications for Windows using Visual Studio 2003 preferred
Prior Video, Audio and text processing a strong advantage
Experienced in C/C++, .NET, MFC, COM, STL, ATL, TCP/IP, XML, Windows sockets. Solid GUI experience preferred. C# experience is a plus.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science strongly preferred, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree

Requirements:
Solid understanding of effective software development methods and processes
Robust background in all phases of software development, from product feature definition through code maintenance
Excellent written and verbal communications in English, and great interpersonal skills
Demonstrated track record of successful software applications deliverables
Candidate must have strong communication skills to interact with customers.
