Software Development Team Lead:

Career Field: Software Development

Education: BS

Skills and Experience:

BS in computer science or equivalent, or BS in a physical or biological science and significant experience (>5yrs) in software project management and software development. Experience in managing multiple software development projects in remote locations. Experience with instrument systems and FDA. Good written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with C++, VB, .net, XML.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage software development for the division. Management will include developing and maintaining overall software development process for the division. Process includes requirements development, outside developer relationship management, and overall system testing. Position requires tactical management of development and approval of specifications, approving implementation and test plans, planning and executing system level testing on integrated systems, preparation and approval of all required documentation. Manager will manage remote development groups for implementation and testing, as well as schedule, budget and reporting.

In addition candidate will provide internal expertise for various software related issues including assessment of incorporation of potential external software into CSD products and platforms, and use of automated development and tracking tools within CSD. Candidate will manage overall SW development system, including creation and maintenance of appropriate SOPs and work instructions, contract formats with external developers and all required protocols.
