POSITION SUMMARY:
International medical device company is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Service Software Development Manager. This individual will hold responsibility for the management of one or more moderate to highly complex projects involving a wide variety of customer types. Manage the effort end-to-end with oversight of analysis, support, development and implementation resources. Responsible for scoping, planning, executing, and monitoring the project to keep projects on schedule and to budget. Manage the relationship between technology and the business users at the project level. Role responsibilities include components of: resource management, finance management, quality management, control management, implementation management and business continuity management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop project plans to manage the end-to-end project activities and execution approach
· Utilize a rigorous process of defining customer requirements and project specifications
· Help analyze and discuss the potential risks / benefits involved in using the specified technology solution to address the business requirement
· Define purpose, clear roles, tasks, milestones, budgets and measures of success
· Manage the project estimating activity
· Communicate approach; present plans and gain sign-off from the users and other business areas
· Work across organizational boundaries to gain buy-in and ensure project success
· Conduct project / phase kick-off meetings to communicate individual roles and project expectations and ensure that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively
· Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing issue resolution process and taking corrective action as necessary
· Work with QA / Testing Manager and testing team to ensure thorough testing of modules / application / interfaces
· Work with Product Manager/Support/Users to ensure successful implementation of modules / application / interfaces
· Promote and monitor compliance of application development activities with audit and information risk policies
· Manage the process to assess gaps and develop action plans to address these gaps
· Act as an interface with internal and external audit groups
· Provide and implement action plans to mitigate risk, when applicable
· Monitor financial delivery and issue management processes, escalating issues and variances to budgets where necessary
· Analyze financial reports, trends to identify opportunities and resolve issues
· Work with manufacturing and users to ensure proper operations turnover and Service Level Agreement (SLA) updates, when applicable
· Lead the post-implementation review evaluating project results, including customer satisfaction
· Have a significant influence on policy formation as well as enforcing existing policy
· Ensure that the software development efforts are compliant with technology / company-wide policies and other regulatory requirements
· Manage day-to-day workload of team members proactively identifying and resolving issues that would present a risk to on-time implementation of the program / project
· Apply knowledge of corporate standards and vendor practices in project management to ensure successful delivery of the project
· Establish and maintain working relationship across technology as appropriate
· Participate in and support cross technology process improvement initiatives
· Promote effective teamwork
· Responsible for performance reviews and growth of individual team members
· Work in cross-functional teams
· Provide input to staffing plans at the project-level to identify key / required skills

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors degree in the area of Computer Science or Business, specialized training, or at least 8 years relevant work experience
· Minimum of 6 years leading and managing software development teams.
· Minimum of 6 years of combined business, project management, team leadership and technology experience
· Experience leading teams in a cross-functional environment.
· Experience leading more than one team simultaneously.
· Experience leading desktop software applications over full life-cycle development.
· Experience working with applications software and its related hardware
· Experience working with field-released products including interfacing directly with customers and prioritizing issues and enhancements.
· Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions and industries
· Full program lifecycle experience – from pre-sales to ongoing operations
· Knowledge of CMM and Six Sigma Methodologies and Standards
· Knowledge of Spiral Development Cycle
· Knowledge of Project Management artifacts, processes and tools
· Experience with geographically distributed and culturally diverse customers
· Experience managing across organizational boundaries internally and externally
· Experience with customer facing and customer issue resolution
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Experience working with different roles within the customer organization
· Project Management Certification preferred
· Blood Banking Knowledge or experience in Medical device technologies preferred
· Experience working with applications that control devices preferred

Location: Lakewood, CO

Direct Hire Salary Range: 90-110Kdf-tc
