Description
Microsoft Software Development Manager in South Florida:

A Prime Solution services the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Jupiter, St. Augustine and Jacksonville metro areas.

We are seeking a software development manager in South Florida for Software Development Manager with the following skills:

-Hire, train, motivate, and manage the IS programming staff.
-Work with the project lead to produce work estimates and timeframes for development tasks
-Participate in tactical and operational IS planning for current and proposed business applications.
-Provide leadership to IS personnel that allows for flexibility within the team, cultivates team members, and provides motivation to achieve goals and foster career development.
-Review and monitor the performance of the staff within the group to maximize their effectiveness and meet their development needs.
-Oversee and manage the change control processes to ensure integrity of the production environment.
-Manage and review specifications, technical plans, and progress from developers
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
-A minimum of 6 years of experience in the area of software development.
-A minimum of 2 years of experience in software management or project management regarding software development, including direct management of a programming staff.
-Solid understanding of programming constructs and the SDLC.
-Possess working knowledge of .NET (ASP.NET), TSQL, and Web Server experience; IIS.
-Ability to translate business requirements to system/application solutions.
-Experience with Supply Chain Systems, JDEdwards and Cognos a plus.
