As Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for directing a group of 4-12 developers working on data protection products and services in a distributed Windows, Mac OS X and other operating system environment. You will also be responsible for developing work plans, establishing technical objectives, assigning tasks, priority setting and overall team management, or over-all day to day coordination of the team. The team has members located both on- and off-shore. You will work closely with other development managers and teams to develop our products. In addition, You will work with QA Managers, Project Managers and other engineering and support groups to deliver our products. Reports to: The Chief Information Officer Duties and Responsibilities

Hiring, recruitment, development, and performance management of team members
Coordination and motivation of individual contributors to ensure the team meets all their goals, including quality and schedules
Creation of and maintenance of development plans and schedules
Coordination with other managers and groups throughout all phases of the program life cycle
Coordination and direction of the offshore development organization
Early identification of risks, issues and potential delays, and the subsequent development of suitable mitigation plans
