Summary:
Individual will analyze, design, execute and document the specific software test programs and strategies for all Topia software products. Under the direction of the QA Supervisor and in cooperation with product engineering and product management, individual will lead the development software programs and tools that used within QAs Highly Optimized Test Harness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Percent of Time Responsibility
80% Define the value/content of software test programs and test strategies along with test plans, test cases, regression testing, test scripts and test reports. Work with Test Engineers to define and design test programs.
15% Verification and validation of activities including requirements and design of software components (unit testing) and software applications (system and integration testing). Work with Test Engineers on execution of test procedures with analysis and reporting of results per software designs.
5% Attend QA technical product architecture, design and development meetings.

Required Skills:
5-to-10 plus years of quality assurance, software design, and the use of automated testing tools to document test case and defects.
Previous programming experience in C/C++, C#, OOD, Java, PERL, PYTHON, RUBY, TCL and other UNIX Shell Scripting tools.
Working knowledge of code revisioning software (CVS or Rational ClearCase) and defect management tools (Mantis, Bugzilla, Rational ClearQuest).
Strong working and practical experience with relational and object databases, Unix (Sun Solaris, Linux, MAC OS X), Windows XP, and current network and system technology protocols and standards.
Experience in the design of multi-tier and distributed enterprise and consumer focused applications.
Experience in software testing methods, procedures, process and analysis.
Excellent problem determination and root cause analysis skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills and Education:
Prefer Bachelors degree from 4-Year university in the field of information systems or computer science.
High preference given to Masters degree.
Experience with Object-Oriented Design, Development, and Programming.
Experience with Test Automation tools such as ApTest, WinRunner or XRunner.
Experience working with multiple projects at one time, working independently with minimal oversight.df-tc
