Description
We require an experienced database developer to design and implement back-end databases using SQL Server for a real-time control monitoring system used in advanced Physical Security applications. You must be capable of analyzing requirements, producing database entity-relationship models and design secure database access methods based on extensive use of stored procedures. Familiarity with Microsoft UDA is desirable.

Responsibilities


  • Analyze detailed functional requirements and develop entity relationship models.
  • Produce detailed design specifications of database logic and transaction rules and database access methods, specified in terms of stored procedure prototypes.
  • Produce database tables, indexes, views and relationships and develop and test stored procedure code.
  • Design and develop client database access objects to provide a database access layer using Visual Studio C++ and ADO.NET

Experience/Skills
Required skills
Three years of hands-on experience of SQL Server.
Experience in database design and use of UML or ER design tools.
Experience of design and coding of UDA methods like OleDb, ADO or ADO.NET.
Three years experience of Visual Studio C++ and C++ programming related to producing database access methods.
Desired skills
Experience of real-time systems in an industrial or engineering environment or especially in Physical Security or SCADA.
Experience of .NET framework and ADO.NET.
