Software Engineer
Responsibilities: Design, Development, and Maintenance of Database Optimization Techniques
Responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of database optimization techniques. Involvement in performance analysis and measurement and in investigating and resolving issues related to system performance.
Required:
â?¢ Database internals: designing and developing commercial database software (i.e., experience with Oracle, Informix, Sybase, IBM on DB2, etc.)
â?¢ Database execution plans and understanding optimization techniques
â?¢ DB performance analyses and investigating and resolving DB performance issues with demonstrated and significant improvements in throughput/performance. Coding in C++ and a thorough grounding in structured design principals
â?¢ Teamwork and flexibility in previous work assignments
â?¢ Experience working closely with QA, Documentation, and Technical Support
Desired:
â?¢ Experience in performance-related analysis and tuning of database system internals
â?¢ Experience with data mining, optimization techniques
Experience/Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and minimum of 5-7 years of programming experience required.
