This software engineer Position Features:
Job Summary

Company is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team developing
and supporting our commercial products as well as our internal research.
We produce a diverse set of software products including GUIs and driver
libraries for our commercial products, small single-user programs
for internal R&D use, and a wide range of code used for testing and
quality assurance. We want someone who is comfortable with
a wide range of programming tools and environments -- and will
appreciate the opportunity to learn many more.
Job Responsibilities

* Design and develop internal/commercial instrument configuration and
control GUIs.
Work with Company's driver libraries to:
- Design and integrate new hardware modules.
- Develop tests to improve the overall quality and reliability.
- Coordinate releases with our other projects.
* Work with Companys hardware engineers to specify the control interface
for products under development.

* Become familiar with Companys customers and help provide
support for and assistance with their applications.

Requirements

* 3 years of development experience using C, C++, Visual Basic or C#.

* A working knowledge of source code control tools;
Subversion experience is a plus.

* Experience with a scripting language such as Python or Ruby is a
plus; many of our internal tools are developed in Ruby.

* Willingness to learn new languages and environments as necessary.

* Excellent English language and communication skills.

* Comfortable doing development primarily in Windows; Linux
development experience is a plus.

* Comfortable with or willing to learn how to use unit testing as part
of the development process; NUnit experience is a plus.

* Desire to work in a dynamic, small team environment.

* Eligible to work in the United States.

Education

B.A./B.S. in Engineering/Computer Science or related fields.
