Position Summary:

The Software Engineer, Enterprise Planning & Reporting is responsible for the development, administration, and operation of enterprise planning and reporting solutions with the Cognos EP and BI environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administer and support the Cognos Enterprise Planning platform including, but not limited to, installing new software versions and patches, maintaining dev/test environments, troubleshooting, maintaining application security, conducting user training, performance tuning, software configuration, system documentation, capacity planning, and architecture.

Work with cross-functional customers to analyze new requirements and develop/modify planning models to support on-going user needs.

Daily support of data warehousing team ETL and reporting operations including job monitoring, troubleshooting, and financial/sales/workforce data analysis.

Participate on DW team development projects where necessary. Create development and action plan with team manager to formulate a path for expanded developer role on DW team.

Qualifications:

3-5 Years prior application administration experience
Strong Oracle/SQL programming skills
Eagerness and aptitude to develop business intelligence skill set
Highly detail-oriented with strong data analysis, communication, problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work both independently and participate as a member of a cross-functional team
Comfortably manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
Understand and adhere to configuration change control standards
Pharmaceutical and/or financial systems domain knowledge a plus
