Description
Participate as an integral component of a dynamic team in enhancing existing functionality and creating new components within the HSN Fulfillment Systems IT group, and within the larger HSN IT team. Combine both technical and communications skills to work with our business partners, IT partners, and vendors in gathering requirements and turning those requirements into quality software solutions. The group uses a variety of technologies to support warehouse and drop ship fulfillment, corporate quality assurance, inbound and outbound transportation and numerous cross-organizational systems.

Responsibilities:

Develop custom applications and modify existing applications to meet distinct and changing business requirements.
Assist with requirements definition, analysis, design, testing, system documentation and user training.
Handle coding, debugging, developing of test plans and test scripts, and documentation.
Provide post-implementation and on-going production support as an on-call programmer.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree.
3 to 5 years of software development experience.
Commitment to producing high quality, well designed and flexible custom applications.
Very strong programming ability, with attention to detail and design.
Strong written, oral, and visual communication skills.
Dedication to a collaborative working style and the ability to work well in small teams.
Willingness to participate in after-hour and on-call support.
Desire to learn and use new technologies.
Ability to work in a fast paced/dynamic team environment and possess time management skills to meet schedules.
Microsoft .Net background.
Proficient in C# .Net, ASP.Net 2.0, Stored Procedures (TSQL) for SQL Server, SQL Server 2000/2005.

Preferred Requirements:

Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and Transportation Management Systems.
Experience with 3PL's, i.e. UPS.
Experience with Java, JSP/Servlets, JavaScript, Pro-C, C/C++, PL/SQL, UNIX, Oracle, and SQL strongly preferred.df-tc
