The individual best suited to the role of Software Engineer for the Innovation Program is one who likes facing big challenges, working in high pressured environments, interacting directly with customers, and holds an entrepreneurial view of the world.

The Software Engineer must be capable in a variety of technologies: Java, Visual Basic, SQL, HTML, Crystal reports, and scripting tools and able to learn new technologies quickly. The successful Software Engineering lives by the mantra: ?If I don?t know it today I?ll be the expert next week.? They want to learn new technology and techniques ? because they know that ?it is only code.?

Because the Software Engineer will work on a team to take a budding idea and to grow it rapidly into a prototype that they themselves will demo ? the successful candidate will need to have a good appreciation of customer?s business problems and processes. The candidate will need to work with other team members to take the idea and transform it into a solution that solves business problems.

The Software Engineer:

- will help clarify the requirements, design the solution, and create a prototype of enhancements for existing Kronos products and completely new products.

- under general supervision work within specified constraints of scope and timeframe.

- will work closely with other Software Engineers, Product Management, Product Marketing, and customers. Software Engineers must keep everyone up-to-date with their progress. During the idea exploration phase and post prototype development, appropriate documentation must be produced.

- must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing with all constituents: management, peers, and customers.

A BSCS degree along with 2+ years of related development experience is required.
