TiVo's Service Provider Division (SPD) is focused on constructing highly portable software applications to serve the cable and satellite service provider industries. SPD is seeking talented software engineers who excel at delivering innovative products while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive, and a solution-oriented individual that works well in a team environment as well as independently.

Responsibilities:

* Design & Develop:
- Core Program Guide Data & Media Services Solutions for Next Generation Features
- Platform Independent API's for Abstracting Middleware & Firmware to Application Software.
- Highly Performing Solutions for an Embedded Device

Experience:
* Embedded Java Development (5+ Years)
* Senior Experience Designing Performant, Real-Time, Software in Tightly Constrained Memory Environments
* Strong OOP Design Skills
* Exceptional, Deep Knowledge of Java (C++ is a Plus)
* Experience with or Enthusiasm for Embedded, Consumer Electronics Systems
* Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
* Familiarity with Engineering Design, Process, Lifecycle & Agile Development Methods
* B.S. in Computer Science or Equivalent Experience

Desired Skills:
* Embedded Java, J2ME
* Recent Middleware/Firmware Level Development
* UNIX/Linux Development Environments
* Real-Time Programming Experience with Audio and/or Video Processing
* Set-Top Box or Embedded Systems Experience
* Experience with Interactive TV Applications or Platforms
