Description
  • Engineering opportunity in development for leading edge Multi-Service systems. These systems will support multiple GigE network interfaces and have networking capabilities such as Packet Ring, Tree and Mesh.
  • The product family will target numerous applications and functions including: IP/Ethernet DSLAM, VoIP/VoATM Gateway, Trunking Media Gateway, IP Video delivery and GR-303 PSTN Gateway.
  • Lead design and impelmentation responsibilities in the development of Ethernet based access products.
  • The position will involve mapping out the architecture of one or more of the software sub-systems and leading a small team in the development of those sub-systems.
  • The responsibilities include the development of software subsystems needed to support the advanced switching and networking capabilities.

    Experience/Skills
  • A BS degree and five years of software development in the following areas:
  • L2 switching/bridging features (VLANs/802.1p & q, RSTP, link aggregation)
  • Multicast Protocols (IGMP)
  • Packet Ring Control Plane architecture.
