Description
Well-rounded developer with strong Linux experience, including familiarity with Linux based application servers needed to advance the state of super high performance storage. This person will be responsible for developing data management applications and integrating existing products into high performing storage appliances.
Responsibilities:
Modify existing applications to integrate with storage appliances, taking advantage of Linux as well as virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware, Xen, etc.)
Participate in the development of new Linux based data management applications
Work with QA to ensure the code delivered is of high quality.
Requirements:
Skills
Excellent Linux development and coding skills
Strong communication skills.
Experience
3+ years experience in a Linux/Unix development environment, NOT systems Administration, including:
o Bash shell or Perl scripting
o Linux CLI
Hands on experience with one or more virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware, Xen, etc.).
2+ years of hands on experience in C language, must be current (C++ experiences is a plus)
Databases development experience
Storage domain (data management) expertise is a desired plus
BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple complex technical tasks
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
