Robert Half is working with a client in the Tampa Bay area to recruit for a Software engineer to work on their Oracle Development projects. The Oracle Developer I will work on all phases of the Project Life Cycle. The Oracle Developer I will add their input technical/process during the planning, analysis and design phases of a project. They will be involved in the development of complex customizations and they will be active in the validation stage to ensure quality deliverables. They will also play an integral role in system integration projects.Responsibilities:•Software development - Oracle Forms and Reports, PL/SQL, MQ, Java, Pro*C, XML, Unix server environment. •System enhancements, new development, and support.•Small team project lead responsibilities.•Gathers user requirements, designing, developing and team/business review sessions. •Assess situations and suggest process improvements. •Learn the intricate details of the existing system to be able to support it, analyze it, enhance it and become an integral part of the team in a reasonable time period.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Minimum Requirements: •6 or more years of experience in software development. •Bachelor's degree. •Expert in PL/SQL for Oracle 10g database, Shell scripting, XML, Pro*C in Linux environment, Core Java with JDBC. •4-6 Years Experience in Oracle Forms 10g, Reports 10g in application Server Environment •Exposure to IBM Websphere MQ Series. •On-call/pager support duty. •Work well with others as well as independently. •Solid verbal and written communication skills. •Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. Preferred Requirements: •Experience with Retek application package is a huge plus. •Retail business experience also a huge plus.
