SOFTWARE ENGINEER / PROGRAMMER

Primary Job Functions:

The successful candidate will work within a team developing cutting edge molecular modeling software with 3D graphics.

Project work could include developing GUI features on various platforms including Windows, Unix, Linux; refining functions for rendering molecules; developing algorithms for drawing 3D molecules on the screen; and providing support for other program features.

Core Requirements:

·        Expert C++ programmer

• OpenGL with knowledge of Pixel Shaders and Vertex
• Fundamental Math skill for 3D graphics
• Qt (Trolltech)
• Experience with Visual Studio
• Strong experience in architecting, object-oriented design, design patterns, testing and programming
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field

Desired:

• Knowledge of molecular modeling
• Experience in a cross-platform software development environment
• Knowledge of graphics optimization
• Working knowledge of multi-threading
• Algorithmic development/research experience

• Knowledge of chemistry and physics
• Familiarity with software copy protection licensing system a plus

Must be self-motivated, ambitious and possess the desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment. Must be detail- and task-oriented with the ability to take initiative and follow direction.
