Massive parallelism, scale, and data volumes pose hard technical challenges which require creative and unusual solutions. Using combinatorial optimization algorithms, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques we are developing the next-generation query optimizer for large-scale parallel data warehouse platforms.Job Duties * Implement key infrastructure components of the optimizer of industrial-strength quality * Develop and implement optimization strategies for Data Warehousing specific query scenarios* Devise and review comprehensive test plansRequirements* Strong problem solver; strong abstract thinker* Familiarity with relational databases and database implementation concepts* Advanced CS degree or equivalent qualification* Strong programming skills* C/C experience a plusdf-tc
