Description
Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Design and maintain software to communicate and interface to new and existing products.
2. Develop Software Developer Kit APIs (SDKs) for internal and external programmers developing applications around our products.
3. Possess strong Engineering analysis skills and ability to develop algorithms to ensure that our products meet strict certification and performance requirements.
4. Perform hands on adjustment of hardware/mechanical aspects of the products during development phase.
5. Provide SDK and product support to internal test group, application developers, implementation team, and technical writers as well as external application developers.
6. Provide software support to internal Manufacturing group by providing applications to allow repeatable testing, calibration, and production of our product.

SKILL SETS

1. Strong programming skills in C++, MFC, and COM using Microsoft Visual Studio 6 and/or Visual Studio .NET.
2. Strong Engineering analytical skills and background in physics and/or math.
3. Image analysis and image processing algorithm development.
4. Work as team player in closely integrated Engineering development team comprised of Software, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering disciplines.
5. Strong communication skills to facilitate support of both internal and external customers.
6. Self-starter and ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
7. Embedded programming, driver development (firewire and/or USB), and Linux/Unix experience a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1. 5-10 years professional experience
2. Minimum Bachelors Degree (BSCS, BSCE, BSEE)
3. Prefer new product development experiencedf-tc
