Software Engineer - SIP Developer - JS-1319

A Jersey City, NJ Client has immediate need for a Software Engineer - SIP Developer.

Candidate will implement SIP applications. Review and understand application functional specifications. Contribute to SIP application design specifications. Work with off shore development teams implementing SIP applications. Work with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to validate the correct implementation of systems and applications. Interact with other engineering teams and other stakeholders as appropriate. At least 5 years experience as a software engineer. Experience working with offshore development teams. Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and SQA/SCM (Software Configuration Management) tools. Demonstrated ability to contribute to design specifications and other technical specifications. Demonstrated experience with OOA/D/P, UML, design patterns, frameworks, and tools. Java/J2EE programming on Unix/Linux operating systems. C programming on Unix/Linux operating systems. Recent experience in VoIP telephony. Demonstrated SIP expertise. Experience in high performance application development. Experience building distributed and highly available solutions. A good understanding of secure software development practices. Knowledge of Linux administration, configuration, and security. Experience in security, including security of networks, servers, and VoIP systems. Fluency in XML. Experience developing on Weblogic/OCCAS. Experience with Lamp technologies. Experience in IP and networking protocols and architectures.
