Description
Software domain lead for the BMC4I sub-IPT of the MEADS program. Provide hands-on leadership to a software team in the planning, design and development of BMC4I Force Operations (FO) software. Candidate must have demonstrated prior experience in software engineering using the UML methodology, the development of requirements from UML use cases, requirements allocation and traceability, and test specification development using UML and CASE tools. Candidate will be responsible for designing the software architecture for the software domain and providing leadership to a team implementing the software using the C++ and Java programming languages. Candidate must have demonstrated team-building, leadership, and project planning skills. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in the development and presentation of status briefings to senior management.

General Position Description
Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs; advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

Typical Minimum Education
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an expert, authority in discipline.
