This posting is made in anticipation of a program win for the East Coast Tactical Training Range at Oceana, VA; Jacksonville and Key West, FL; Cherry Point and Beaufort, NC; Savannah, GA and Beaufort, SC. Upon a successful win of this program, staffing requirements for the position of [insert position title] must be filled. STANDARD JOB DESCRIPTION: Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs; advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in related discipline with 5 years of professional experience; 3 years of related experience with Masters degree; or 0 years of related experience with a PhD or JD. Considered career, or journey, level.

BS EE or EET degree.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Two years experience in electronic engineering related to RF, radar, and ECM systems. Knowledge of RF (EM waves, antennas and spectrum analysis techniques) and heavy ground-based radar systems, including Foreign Made Equipment (FME) (surveillance, acquisition, height finder, tracking and fire control), ECM systems, aircraft warning radar systems and doctrine desirable. Experience in terrestrial command, control, communication, video, and optical support systems desirable. Knowledge and experience in electronic technology including analysis, design, modification, specification, testing, troubleshooting, and engineering documentation (baseline development, ECP and supporting technical directives) for radar and support equipment.
