Software Engineer - Visual C++, trading, multi-threaded

Description:

• Develop, test, maintain and troubleshoot server side systems for financial products.
• Develop Visual C++applications to communicate via FIX protocol and other financial protocols with Exchanges, ECN's and other market liquidityproviders.
• Work on Visual C++ server applications that interface via a proprietary protocol with a thick Visual C++ client analysis tool.
• SQL development to support Order Execution.
• Function in support roles in mission-critical environments utilizing proven trouble-shooting and debugging skills.
• Experienced indeveloping and using unit tests and functional tests.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of software development experience using C++
• Microsoft Windows SDK programming experience and experience developing multi-threaded applications
• Experience using synchronization techniques with threads and processes
• Experience with TCP/IP, UDP
• Experience developing server side applications
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE; experience working with shared source code using source control tools; some experience with asynch I/O concepts, event handling, IOCP
• Some experience developing server-side system level applications
• Adheres to department policies and procedures (coding standards, etc.)
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment working independently and in a team environment
• Must possess excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Mathematics/Electrical Engineering/Comp English or a related discipline.
