You will work in the Technology and Engineering group and alongside the other members of our web development and production teams. You will have hands-on responsibilities for the development, testing, and deployment of front and back-end software solutions; this includes high-traffic web sites and industry-leading broadband applications. The environment is fast-paced and the goals are demanding; but the projects are unique, the work is rewarding and the crew likes to have fun. Our ideal candidate is creative, energetic, deeply knowledgeable about the latest web technologies, and has a passion for demonstrating skill and precision in his/her work. QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in field
  • 3 + years of software design and implementation in Java.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of software development including identifying requirements, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Strong written and verbal skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong experience with content and data driven web-based applications
  • Project leadership experience

    SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong knowledge of Java, with experience with Spring, Struts, Hibernate, etc.
  • Web Technologies - HTML, JavaScript, HTTP, Servlets, JSP, PHP, XML, SOAP, AJAX
  • Databases - MS SQLServer, SQL, JDBC
  • Application/Web servers - Tomcat, IIS (EJB containers, Apache a plus)
  • Experience working with source control systems (VSS, CVS, PVCS, etc.)
  • Experience with PERL, ANT, XML
  • Experience with Content Management Systems and Web Publishing
  • Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Design
  • Web Application Best Practices
